Cheryl Hines is keeping mum on her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., allegedly cheating on her.
When asked about the former 2024 presidential candidate’s “personal relationship” with political reporter Olivia Nuzzi, the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star’s rep told Page Six on Friday they had “no comment at this time.”
Kennedy wed Hines, his third wife, in 2014. However, their friends reportedly have been skeptical about their romance from the start due to the politician’s history of infidelity.
In the 2015 biography “RFK Jr.: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Dark Side of the Dream,” author Jerry Oppenheimer detailed some of Hines’ pals’s less-than-favorable reactions to the couple’s nuptials.
One friend was allegedly “mystified as to why Hines married Bob, since his history as a womanizer had become so public and was intertwined in scandal.”
The skeptical pal said that a woman would have to be “misguided and purposefully ignorant” to marry Kennedy, who had numerous affairs during his previous marriages to Emily Ruth Black and Mary Richardson.
“Women have to understand what they’re getting into when they’re with him,” the book said.
News broke late Thursday that RFK Jr., 70, had allegedly cheated on Hines, 58, with Nuzzi, 31, after the New York magazine political correspondent wrote a profile about him last year.
In a statement, Nuzzi admitted that “some communication between [herself] and a former reporting subject turned personal.”
“I did not directly report on the subject nor use them as a source,” she said. “The relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict.”
Although she did not name Kennedy directly, sources told The Post that the journalist and the lawyer began sexting while he was married to Hines and she was engaged to fellow reporter Ryan Lizza. (Nuzzi and Lizza have since broken up, according to insiders.)
Nuzzi met Kennedy after flying to his California home, where they went hiking together for her article, per Status, which was the first to report the news.
The pair’s relationship reportedly did not begin until after the profile was published in November 2023.
A source told Status that Nuzzi and Kennedy — the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy — began seeing each other at the beginning of 2024.
However, a rep for RFK Jr. insisted that he “only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece.”
New York magazine issued a public apology to readers Thursday and revealed the journalist is “currently on leave.”
“The magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party review,” the statement read. “We regret this violation of our readers’ trust.”
