Being Ella Emhoff has its perks.
While Kamala Harris supporters sold out her viral camouflage hat shortly after its release, her stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, snagged one to wear at night one of the 2024 Democratic National Convention Monday.
The fashion designer, 25 — whose father is Harris’ husband, second gentleman Doug Emhoff — rocked the $40 cap with a sleeveless nude top and matching pleated trousers for the kickoff of the DNC.
According to Teen Vogue, the IMG model’s hat sold out in a mere 30 minutes after its launch, with the design inspired by the camo cap Tim Walz wore in a video Harris posted to share she’d chosen him as her running mate.
The American-made baseball cap has become a fan favorite, with the current vice president’s campaign telling Teen Vogue that the design has brought in nearly $2 million in sales as of August 8.
There’s also another celebrity tie to the cap; after seeing Walz in the style, many fans pointed out that it was similar to Chapell Roan’s “Midwest Princess” cap ($30).
Camo hats aside, the potential first stepdaughter has delivered plenty of fashionable moments over the years.
She walked the runway in a variety of racy looks at New York Fashion Week 2022, and, in 2021, she rocked a bold red Adidas by Stella McCartney look on the Met Gala red carpet.
The model also snagged her first cover in 2021, posing for Dust magazine’s spring issue in a patchwork jacket she designed.
And if you’re looking for your own camo cap, never fear: Per the Harris-Walz shop, it’s due to be restocked on September 30.
