George Clooney is keeping his pal Brad Pitt in check.
The “Gravity” star, 63, poked fun at Pitt’s age as they promoted their new film, “Wolfs,” at the 2024 Venice Film Festival on Sunday.
In response to Pitt, 60, saying he wants to work with people he respects, Clooney responded, “He’s 74-years-old, and he’s very lucky at this age to still be working quite honestly.”
Jokes aside, Clooney added they’re both fortunate “to have a job and have a career,” especially after the “Up in the Air” star stepped away from taking on larger roles in the past few years.
Clooney and Pitt’s friendship dates back to the early 2000s when they starred alongside each other in “Ocean’s Eleven.”
On Sunday, Pitt also made his red carpet debut with his girlfriend of two years, Ines de Ramon, for the premiere of the action-comedy film.
The couple got cozy as they posed for photographers alongside George and his wife, Amal Clooney, 46.
The actors danced and hugged inside the theater as they received a four-minute standing ovation following the screening of their highly-anticipated film, per Variety.
“Wolfs” will be available to a larger audience on Sept. 27 on Apple TV+.
The night before, the A-listers were spotted aboard a boat taxi for a double date at the Clooneys’ favorite eatery, Ristorante da Ivo.
Pitt and de Ramon, 31, appeared head over heels for each other as they held each other close and admired the beauty surrounding them.
Earlier that day, the couple arrived in Venice for their action-packed weekend.
Ahead of the film festival, organizers prepared for Pitt’s arrival as they ensured he and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie wouldn’t run into each other.
The exes have been working through the specifics of their contentious divorce since 2016 when Jolie initially filed.
Pitt and the “Maleficent” star, who share six children, have been unable to reach legal agreements on child custody and the ownership of their Chateau Miraval winery.
