Kaitlyn Bristowe held a funeral for her and Jason Tartick’s 2023 split.
“[I had a] little funeral service — like a fake burial,” she revealed on her “Off the Vine” podcast on Tuesday.
“I did it alone. … I didn’t bury anything. It was all mental,” she further explained to her guest, Amanda Hirsch.
“It’s more of a visual practice and it is to say your goodbyes and make a little peace with it. It shifts something in the ol’ brain. … It really does do something in your brain.”
Bristowe, 39, and Tartick, 35, got engaged in May 2021 after two years of dating. They shocked fans in August 2023 when they announced their separation.
She admitted on “Off the Vine” that the burial didn’t get her completely over the relationship, but confirmed it generally helped her mindset.
The Season 11 “Bachelorette” lead previously divulged that she experienced uneasy feelings when Tartick and announced his new relationship with content creator Kat Stickler in June.
“It’s actually hurting more than you know and for reasons other than most know,” she wrote in a private Facebook group at the time.
However, in another comment in the same group, she clarified that she was not “hurt” but was working through “some held on anger and resentment.”
Bristowe’s new comments about her and Tartick’s split come days after she revealed she was once romantically interested in fellow “Bachelor” franchise star Zac Clark.
Clark, 40, got engaged to Tayshia Adams, 33, after they met on her season of “The Bachelorette.” Adams and Bristowe went on to cohost “The Bachelorette” in 2021 — when Adams and Clark called it quits.
Bristowe was linked to Clark for several months earlier this year and even clapped back against a “nasty” rumor she cheated on Tartick with Clark.
However, while appearing on the “U, Up?” podcast on Sunday, she seemingly confirmed — without naming names — that she and Clark went on at least one date and that she asked for his ex’s permission.
“I [texted her], ‘Hey, so-and-so DM’ed me and we’ve been chatting. I know you’re really happy in a relationship, so I don’t know this would bother you or not,'” she claimed.
“She called and was very upset. She said, ‘I always knew you were a bad person and you’ve confirmed it. Your true colors are showing.'”
“Then, I hung up and [thought,] ‘Now, I just want to send her a picture of me sucking his d-k.'”
It’s unclear if she and Clark are still in contact.
They were spotted together in June at an NHL game — which Tartick and Stickler also happened to be attending.
Tayshia, for her part, has been linked to “Summer House” alum Luke Gulbranson since spring 2023.
