Melania Trump is swapping the campaign trail for the streets of New York City.
The former first lady, 54, was photographed arriving at Trump Tower on Wednesday while her husband, Donald Trump, held a rally in North Carolina.
Melania looked chic in a black-and-white striped Adam Lippes midi dress cinched with a Michael Kors belt.
She wore this particular combo twice during her time in the White House; first for a March 2018 visit to the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, and again that August for a dinner with Apple CEO Tim Cook in Bedminster.
This time around, Melania finished her look with pointy-toed Roger Vivier flats and sleek black sunglasses.
The former fashion model was ushered into the building by her Secret Service detail as doormen loaded her luxe Louis Vuitton luggage onto a trolley.
“FLOTUS” was embroidered on one of her garment bags.
Although Melania has been absent from nearly all of her husband’s recent rallies, she attended the Republican National Convention in July, dressed in a double-breasted red wool Dior skirt suit.
The mother of one sported the same hue a week earlier while hosting a fundraiser at the couple’s NYC penthouse.
At the time, a spy told us the model “stunned all in attendance” when she showed up in a “fire engine red Valentino dress with applique flowers in the same fabric and Christian Louboutin pumps.”
“Melania took photos and gave a beautiful speech about the importance of unity,” a guest told us. “She also said about the election, ‘We will see what happens, but, we must win.’ “
However, if Donald wins the presidential election in November, the public shouldn’t expect Melania to return to full-time first lady duty.
In June, a Trumpworld insider told Page Six that Melania wants to focus on her and Donald’s 18-year-old son, Barron Trump.
“Melania has made a deal with her husband that if he wins the presidency she will not have to be on first lady duty 24/7,” the source said.
They noted that Melania is a “hands-on mother” and is planning to spend most of her time in New York City once her son heads to college in the Big Apple.
