Rich Homie Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, said she will “never be the same” after finding the rapper “unresponsive” before his death on Thursday.
“This pain is unbearable,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories Saturday. “I’m traumatized from a moment that’ll forever be in my head.”
Williams said she has “nothing to prove because my love for my other half was ALWAYS shown, I had nothing to hide,” seemingly referring to other women who claimed to have had romantic relationships with the “Type of Way” emcee after his passing.
“Our house is no longer a home. I’m completely heartbroken 15 years gone. I’ll never be the same. This is a complete nightmare,” she added.
“We never could let go, but you didn’t have to leave me like this. #Numb.”
According to a 911 call obtained by TMZ, Williams told dispatchers Quan — born Dequantes Devontay Lamar — had fallen asleep on the couch the night prior and hadn’t moved by the time she checked on him that morning.
She said she put a blanket over him, thinking he was asleep, before taking her son to school.
When Williams returned home and checked on Quan, she said she “didn’t feel a heartbeat” and noticed he wasn’t breathing.
“When I turned him over he kind of foamed at the mouth,” she tearfully told 911 dispatchers.
The “Lifestyle” rapper was declared dead at the scene. He was 33.
Quan’s cause of death has not been revealed and an autopsy was reportedly done on Friday.
Several stars took to social media to mourn the loss of the Atlanta native.
“JUST TALKED TO YOU BRA ? #tipQUAN Never go forget yo smile n the way talked n of course yo music ?,” tweeted rapper Boosie BadAzz on Thursday.
“May God be with us, never saw this being apart of our journey,” wrote Quavo on his Instagram Stories alongside a throwback photo of his group, Migos, and Quan’s rap group, Rich Gang.
Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young wrote, “The A lost a great Artist but an even better Person today… always check on your brothers man.”
